How much difference of HP (or WHP) is there on Del Sol regarding year?
I'm looking at a '93 Si Del Sol, MPI I4 1.6L, 170K. I saw today from the Del Sol car make history that the engine changed to DOHC VTEC from SOHC in '94.
Considering it will be my first car, how significantly am I not getting HP compared to when I get '94 one and the newer. The history says the '92-'93 models didn't make much more HP than the Civic lines, until '94 model came up.

Its roughly a 30 hp difference. Unless it comes with a d15b7 then its a 60hp difference, which if its a 1.6 like you say it should be a d16z6 having 125 bhp at 6,600 rpm and
106 lb·ft torque at 5,200 rpm. Look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CR-X_del_Sol

I see. Will I be able to feel the unique acceleration of small cars like Del Sol, when I get the '93 anyway? I don't need that super accelerations on YouTube, I just want the faster than normal cars acceleration. I won't know how the newer year ones would drive, because I didn't test drive those.

If you've never compared the two you wouldn't know, but there is a pretty big difference in 30 horsepower.
It would undoubtedly be a fun to drive car, you just wouldn't be destroying any quarter miles or anything.

I see some bone stock civic or Del Sol reach 60 mph on automatic trans (or manual) at around 8.5 sec (or 7.5 sec).
How much the same model with 30 HP extra will take to reach 60 mph?
- I'm assuming that even though the start acceleration feels different, the time to reach 60 mph wouldn't be that significant (over 1 second) compared to the feel that you get from getting 30 more HP.
*Let's say the condition is Vtec kicking in at the same rpm with automatic trans (or manual)
Ah, also, is the time to reach 60 mph being 8.5 above average? can you say you felt some acceleration compared to other normal sedans?

There is no '92 Del Sol.
'93 - '95 Del Sol Si's all have the same engine and consequently make the same HP for those years. '96 - '97 Del Sol Si's had made an extra 2 HP which basically amounts to nothing.
The Del Sol you're referring to is the Del Sol VTEC. It's got 35HP over a Del Sol Si and it is a significantly better engine, with a much shorter geared transmission. That said be prepared to be underwhelmed below 5000RPM.

94EG8, I'm referring to a '93 one. B16A2, B16A3 are all from after '94 ones. Thanks for your explanation, though.
