2000 civic question regarding struts
Im going to buy some new struts for my 2000 civic coupe not looking for anything fancy just a good ride. I will be putting in a set of suspension technique lowering coils. The springs drop the car 1 1/4 front and rear which isn't that low. My question is I was thinking of buying KYB GR-2 gas struts their priced right and I hav'nt heard much bad about KYB. With puttin in those coils make them blow up? thats my main concern. Or will they be able to handle that because Ive seen stock honda struts handle drop springs fine and they were 2 inch plus drop. Any feedback would be great

Re: 2000 civic question regarding struts
Personally, I'd step up to the KYB AGX springs. They're not much more.
I think the GR-2s should be able to handle a 1 1/4 drop just fine personally, but I would like the adjustable damping. Generally I tell people not to run OE replacement level shocks on a drop, but 1 1/4 is not much, and the GR-2s are slightly better than stock replacement.
