lol no documents or process, just sign the titles over to each other and get the title put into your name, get some plates and TADA. When the title office asks how much you paid for the car. Say it was a gift or say you bought it for a dollar so ya dont gotta worry about uncle sam. But you have to have the person signing over the title put the amount i think on there. So as long as hes cool your straight

so basically hand over titles, sign it, date it, & do everything u should if you were to sell it. i'm not following you on the part where you said to "get some plates". you would figure that by trading or even buying a used car it would already have come with plates

Its like swapping titles...basically. Its just like buying a new car...but you're trading...if that makes sense.

If you are bringing it from one state to the other you might have to pay tax and you do have to pay tax on whatever the other guy puts down for what he sold it for. Other than that and an inspection you don't have to pay much.

If the car still holds NADA value, dont put $1 on the for sale price. The tax dept will send you paperwork on how much u got it for and will want the sellers signature, etc. If you can still find the seller, then go ahead but if not, you will end up paying full sales tax.

its a simple title transfer. $15 bucks a piece if you both keep the plates. +$10 for new plates. and say its a gift. your done...and if you have AAA do everything there shorter lines
