Short of buying the block/head from Honda there aren't any many choices.

That will run ~10k

A crate engine often costs more than a used Honda A K series long block for example cost something like $8,000

I bought a used K24A2 for $450, imagine what i could do with the extra $7500 to match the coin you would have spent on a stock engine

If you want a crate motor check out the crate motor called THE BEAST it's a gx20 long block fully built

ha ha, why?? For the money i spent, i'm just going to rering it, and throw in some fresh valve seals.....and more than likely upgrade the cams and valve springs. I've already got a race header for it, so by the time i've spent a couple grand, i will have a reliable 250-260hp engine

There is one thing you need to keep in mind here, you are buying a BARE long block. There is no IM, header, anything. You "may" be able to a Spoon k20 crate motor, but, just like a B series it will be very expensive.

if you want a K series engine, you honestly would be better off buying and building your own. I am willing to bet money depending on what you build it with, it would make MORE power, for less money. Look at the link I posted for the Spoon engine. There really isn't much done to the engine other then it's a brand new Honda block/head... You are basicly buying the Spoon name!

The reason why people will be hostial so quick, is guys show up waving their money around, and then vanish.
There is WAAAY better stuff then skunk2. Their cams/valve train isn't half bad, but overall their products suck. Suspension is a joke, their TBs stick new out of the box, etc.

This is about the closest thing to a crate engine.. and worth every penny! * you supply the head, unless there a core purchase you can do.
