New here, however I have tried and searched for this for hours. I am member on other forums and I know how tiring repetitive questions can be.

I am planning on doing a retrofit on my 1997 Honda Civic DX and outfit it with A/C. After last summer, sweating every time I drive is terrible. I can't justify not getting 38 MPG either.

So my first question is is the A/C connections for a non A/C from factory DX prewired in? I went out and saw that the wiring for the fan motor is there. I don't know about the wiring in side the cabin.

So that leads to my first question. Where are the places that I need to make connections? Are they prewired in? Do you know the P/N or where I can get them for the wiring that I need? I tried searching HondaPartsCheap and can't find the electrical connections diagram.

I already have the compressor, evaporator and condenser plus fan with on order. I still need to get the hoses and belts and dryer (do I NEED a new dryer?)

I found some really good info in the FAQs about how it all goes together, however the wiring wasn't there.

If this has been gone over 1000 times, please show me where!

No one knows if a DX w/o A/C is prewired for A/C and what wiring I would need?

Not all harness's have the a/c factory spliced in, get an ex harness. You would be able to see all of the extra connections on drivers side fender for the compressor, drier, and fan if yours had them. You could also pull your radio and center dash bezel out to see if you have the connections for the a/c climate controll. They would be right there.

Is this what I need harness wise? And then I need another wire harness that plugs into this one for the fan, compressor?

Bad advice from crawfo. (Sorry.) Yes, the A/C harness plugs in to that ^^^^.

Here are the install instructions. This tells you exactly what you need, and by logical extension, what you don't. If it's NOT in this document, it's already in your car. This doc is also useful for removal of a system (I printed one for a '95 and used it for my own retrofit.) NO EXTRA WIRING is required inside the cabin.
