Honda Civic CX 97 1.6L - Diagnostic Code help
P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0700 - Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
P0715 - Input Turbine Speed Sensor "A" Circuit
P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0303 - Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P1300 - Unknown Diagnostic Trouble Code
----------
Hi guys,
So far spark plugs have been replaced, catalytic converter, and distributor.
We need some help on the following codes.
P0141 - Is that the second sensor under the car?
P0700 - Anyone have any known fixes? or is this just from the misfires?
P0715 - Any other possible issues besides replacing the Speed Sensor?
P0301 - Clicking and gave 13.0 Ohm reading
P0302 - Clicking and gave 12.8 Ohm reading
P0303 - Clicking and gave 12.8 Ohm reading
Also, Cylinder 4 gave a 13.0 Ohm reading, if I'm reading this the correct way... starting from the injector nearest to driver side then across.
P1300 - Not sure what this is.
Car drove fine before the spark plug change, it now overheats. No transmission slips. Speedometer is not working.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!

Check fuse 15 in the under-dash fuse box. Reset the ECU, and see what codes return. Is this car all-stock, or has it been modified at any point? Original transmission?
P0141 - yes, this is the secondary sensor behind the cat. Before replacing, check under-dash fuse 15.
P0700 - Generic transmission problem code. If any other transmission codes are thrown, this will be too.
P0715 - Check under-dash fuse 15.
P030x - You aren't quite diagnosing the misfire codes correctly. Is the engine actually missing, or are those just stored residual codes? Reset ECU, and see what codes return.
Changing the spark plugs should not make the car magically start overheating. There's something else going on here. Were these codes present before the spark plug replacement? Did you use OEM-specified NGK spark plugs, or something else?

Re: Honda Civic CX 97 1.6L - Diagnostic Code help
Yea we haven't really done much to it yet, those were just a list of things that have been done.
Also transmission was rebuilt once, engine was swapped from another working Civic CX 97.
I'm going to check Fuse 15, and reset the ECU and get you back on what appears.

Re: Honda Civic CX 97 1.6L - Diagnostic Code help
Fuse 15 is good. I've reset the ECU left the car on for like 5 minutes, drove it around the block.
I'm now getting
P0501 - Vehicle Speed Sensor "A" Range/Performance
P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
Possible the mechanic who swapped the engine didn't reset the ECU and those misfires could have been from the old engine that was swapped out.
Any tips on clearing those last 2 codes?
Change the speed sensor and second O2 sensor?

Oh nice, I will do just that tomorrow as it started raining over here now.
So I drove the car around for a bit...
I'm now getting:
P0700 - Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
P0715 - Input/Turbine Speed Sensor "A" Circuit

Re: Honda Civic CX 97 1.6L - Diagnostic Code help
Ok I'll check that as well. That should be 12V right?
I don't feel anything wrong with the transmission at all, transitions are good.
The one other issue I do have is the power steering. I've changed the power steering fluid, but man it super hard to turn the steering wheel. Not sure what the issue there is.
Belt is running. Pump has been replaced.
My pops was saying, not sure if his friend connected the hoses correctly because he removed the AC from the car.

Re: Honda Civic CX 97 1.6L - Diagnostic Code help
Your power steering issue is most likely completely unrelated. Put that on the shelf for now.
Does your transmission have a VIN stamp on it by any luck? You said it was an autotragic, right? Clean it off and search for any kind of casting codes, marks, or any identifying features on it that you can. Also, tell us what ECU you have. Passenger side plastic kick panel to the right, pop that off, and find the sticker on the ECU. It should most likely say either P2E or P2P on it.

Looks like the VIN is the same as the car 2HGEJ6424VH114377
the other side of the trans I have D16Y7 and under that number is 2762466
the ECU is P2E
