Ok guys, I TRIED DOING SEARCHES ON THIS So please just help me out. I have a 92 VX hatch and I just put a D16Z6 motor in it. My question is what to do with the 4th connector plug on the shock tower???? On my vx motor it had 4 plug on the engine harness to match the four plugs on the shock tower but the D16Z6 motor only has 3 plugs on the engine harness so what do I do with the 4th plug on the shock tower harness?????

the 4th plug on the pass strut tower is for the 5 wires wide band o2 on your vx, you need to convert that into 4 wires o2 for your d16z6 motor, basicly you need to swap out 1 wires from that plug into other plugs.

yea i think thats his problem, there is some compatibility issues with a z6 going into a 1929 hatch.

Don't try to use the Z6 harness. Use your old VX harness, the only additional wiring necessary will be to convert the VX wideband Oxygen sensor to the standard 4 wire oxygen sensor.

I should add that there will be a 3 wire plug on the harness that will be left over, this was for the EGR on the VX; as long as you use the proper ECU you can just let that plug dangle.

the fourth plug in the VX is a 6 pin connector with four wires that run ito it. you need one of those wires. The orn/blu wire in pin 6, it's the O2 sensor signal. Pull it out of the plug carefully and put it in the 10 pin connector in location 2.

if you're lost which wires I mean or their locations look here http://www.b18c5eg.com/itr_vx_wiring.html. Just ignore the rest of the wiring, it's for a C5 into a VX.
The 6 pin is C129 that you only need the one wire from and the 10 pin is C102 that you need top put the wire into. The rest is completly plug and play from the Z6 engine harness into the VX car harness.

is ur car throwing a cel? i have a vx with a z6 in it and there are no cels now that i accually have a o2 sensor.

Oh ok, I didn't know cel was short for check engine light. Well in that case, no my car isn't throwing a cel either, which is good to me b/c it was throwing a cel right before my old motor blew.
