HELP!!!SHAKING MOVING IN FIRST GEAR
I HAVE 95 CIVIC W/ H2B... I HAD PUT MY MOTOR IN BEGINING OF LAST YEAR WITH OEM EXEDY CLUTCH AND F1 RACING FLYWHEEL(BOTH WHERE 1 YEAR OLD AND CAME OUT OF MY B SERIES SWAP)...BUT LIKE A MONTH AGO MY CAR STARTED TO SHAKING WHEN TAKING OFF IN 1ST GEAR...I KNEW IT WAS MY PASS. SIDE AXLE SO I REPLACED MY CLUTCH WITH A COMPETION CLUTCH STAGE 4 AND A NEW AXLE... BUT MY CAR STILL HAS A SMALL SHAKE TAKING OFF IN FIRST GEAR, NOT AS BAD AS B4 BUT IT STILL THERE...B4 U CAN FEEL IT FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE NOW U CAN FEEL IT FROM THE DRIVER SIDE BUT THE AXLE IS A YEAR OLD... ANY IDEA

Re: HELP!!!SHAKING MOVING IN FIRST GEAR
Does the chatter occur only when you are slipping the clutch, or after the clutch is completely out as well? I had a kevlar clutch that chattered while being slipped on light acceleration.

Re: HELP!!!SHAKING MOVING IN FIRST GEAR
If thats a puck clutch youre going to get some shuddering. Theyre not really designed to be eased out. Theyre designed to bite hard and quick.
Otherwise start checking mounts for stripped bolts and broken rubber. Give the front suspension a good once over while youre down there.

Re: HELP!!!SHAKING MOVING IN FIRST GEAR
I have a shake when I am hard on the throttle in 2nd and 3rd of my gsr swap so I am curious to what is causing this... I was thinking it might be the clutch but it only happens at mid rpms. Everything else on my front suspension is new and hasport mounts. I am thinking if it is my clutch I won't worry about it because i will be upgrading in a few months when I go boosted.

What kind of axle did you use? I say put a drivers one in too. I only ask what kind you use cause I've had new "rebuilt" axles from FEQ brand vibrate and shake on a VW I was working on. So don't always trust "rebuilt". Just my opinion.

Re: HELP!!!SHAKING MOVING IN FIRST GEAR
HMM never thought about that since my swap had less than 80k. Have to check that when I get home in a few weeks.

Re: HELP!!!SHAKING MOVING IN FIRST GEAR
After replacing everything... Innovative motor mounts 2 different pair of brand new axle from auto zone, new flywheel and intermediate shaft... I gave up and sold the swap... I belief that it has a defective competition clutch I hasn't puting any more
Money into the swap to find out

Re: HELP!!!SHAKING MOVING IN FIRST GEAR
what h2b kit did you have qsd or evolution? me and the homie were having the same problem ended up being a cheap clutch sometimes gears would go in hard where did you buy this competition clutch from? what brand? did you check the flywheel for hot spots? we had hot spots on our flywheel from a cheap clutch that was not promised to do into the swap they charged us for a exedy clutch but it was a cheap Chinese knock off cost like $70 after research and on top of that we took the tranny for inspection and guess what fucked up gears and sleeves along with hubs no wonder gears would go in hard all do to a cheap clutch
