i'm a prelude guy and know those inside and out, but i'm relatively novice when it comes to civics and b-series. so please dont flame, i'm just trying to learn what i need.

i'm getting an eg hatch and putting in a b16a2 out of a 99 si. i have the motor, tranny, ecu, harness, axles, shift linkage, basically everything i need i think (feel free to chime in here cuz i dont know what else exactly.) i know this is an easy swap, but what exactly does it entail? is there any special wiring involved? which header and cat do i run? or tips, like i think using a gsr radiator is better than the si one, or using a different ecu, or anything? any info is appreciated.

thanks ahead of time, i know this must come up a lot, and i know lots of people have this swap so dont go off on that. i'd get something else but i'm getting the engine (which has 5,000 miles), tranny and everything for 800 bucks, and my prelude is to nice to take to college.

My only recommendations are to use a 95 Del Sol VTEC ecu or a reprogramed p28 (single cam) ecu. There are far fewer wiring hassles that way. The civic radiator will work but if you live in a very hot area the Del Sol radiator is worthwhile as well. Other than that it's a slam dunk.

when you say 95 del sol vtec ecu, you mean the p30 right? if a reprogrammed p28, what should it be reprogrammed for? will i have to get a different distributor and wiring harness for a p30 or p28? also, do you know any reputable places where i can find a p30 or the reprogrammed p28? sorry for all the questions, i'm just trying to do it right.
