Help.... Distributor Cap and Rotor
Hi, i'm installing a new distributor cap and rotor. The problem is taking out the rotor, theres a piece of plastic that covers the screw for the rotor? how am i supposed to remove the rotor? and is the rotor suppose to be in that angle? This is a 97 Civic Ex. please help.....

your going to need to turn the cam shaft so that the screw is in line with the slot to take out the screw

hehe....I just changed mine the other day and had the same problem. I installed the new cap with the old rotor and started the engine, and when I took the cap back off, the screw was lined up perfect to unscrew.
