help with 1997 honda civic not starting...
Hello, I am having a tough time figuring out what's going on with my civic....seems to be one thing after another! This is an all stock no mods car ..just use it for work.
So just a month ago my battery craps out on me, I go to the local auto store and they determine it needs a charge. An hour later I walk out with a fully charged battery. Put it in my car and it runs fine!
Well just yesterday I go to start my car and it starts a little sluggish and I hear clicking coming from the dashboard....pretty sure the main relay area. It starts and runs fine. But this morning I go to start and it doesn't start at all. After reading a few threads I thought it might be the battery so I replace it and still doesn't start and the clicking happens every time I turn the key to try and start the car. Clicks coming from paasanger side which I'm assuming is main relay? The main relay clicks non stop when turning key to try and start but there is also a click on the driver side too.
Now before I go spend anymore money just trying to get others opinion on what to do next? Car doesn't even crank and I believe I can hear the fuel pump priming as well. Any ideas? Throwing ideas out there....possibly bad main relay or bad ignition switch?

try taking out your ignition switch and cleaning it. only takes about 10 minutes or so to get everything all apart and its free. i had the same problem with my DA, was just a dirty ignition switch.
other things to check are: ecu, main fuel relay, fuel pump, ignition coil, ignition module, and im sure there are more, but those are the first and easiest things to check.
