Heating Problem HELP.
Hey i drive a 96 Civic Hatchback. Bought it without the heater working in the summer and now it's winter =[ sigh. it would be great if someone could help me with my heater problem. Well to get to the point the heater doesn't work. The Fans stages 1 2 3 4 all work, all vent settigs work but the heater doesn't work. i turn it from hot to cold and i hear it actually moving but it doesn't work
i checked the heater core and the heater core just doesn't heat up at all. The bottom area of the heater core gets slightly warm but not hot. the top just stays cold.
i checked my radiator hoses and i let the car warm up to operation temperature and the top hose gets hot but the bottom hose doesn't warm up at all.
I am told to first flush the heater core but i don't know how to do that. can anyone send me any tutorials or point me in a direction of how to do it. i want to change the thermostat last because if it's just a plugged heater core then changing a thermostat is pointless. thanks everyone
-keep it jdm
