Car dropped too low...dented the header. What a waste. Anyone tried fixing it? If so...how? Share your secret.

Re: Has anyone tried fixing a dented Header??? (Gasoline Fumes)
you can weld a nail or something similar to the center of the dent and use that to pull on the dent. when your done you cut the nail off and grind it flat that way you dont put holes in your header. it is a good idea to heat the area around the dent while pulling to soften the metal. anyway thats how we do it in the body shop. we have a tool that welds the nails, but something similar should work.

Re: Has anyone tried fixing a dented Header??? (Civic242)
if you can find some way to seal the ports on the head side and the exhaust side you could fill the header with water and put it in a freezer and the water will expand and maybe push the dent out. ?? dont know if it would work but the theory is right
