Brake lights and horn doesn’t work. Please help
Hi everybody,
i just purchased my first car amd it and it is a 1999 Honda Civic. I noticed that the brake light and the horn do not work. Also the cruise control will not engage. I checked the fuses and it’s working. I also checked the switch and it’s making contact. Whenever I press the horn button I can hear the relay click on but it doesn’t produce any sound. My tail lights, hazards, turn signals and head lights all work but no brake lights.

The horn and the brake lights are both powered off of fuse 52 in the under hood fuse box. Use a test light a make sure you have power at all times at the fuse. then check for power in and out of the brake switch. White and green wire going in to the switch should have power at all times and green and white wire will have power with the pedal pushed. If that all checks out you need to check power at the bulbs. As for the horn, if you hear the relay click you need to check for power at the horn itself. check those out and then we can focus on the cruse after.

I have had it happen where every one of the brake light bulbs are burnt out. Whenever a light on a car doesn't light up, always check the bulb first.

I have fixed the issue. It’s looks like the problem was a loose connection in the rear panel. Thank you for you replies and all the help
