I tore the lower ball joint while trying to take the knuckle off my eg. I noticed it has that c-clip snap ring thing and honda has a part number for the rubber boot alone on the microfiche. Has anyone changed it? Do you just take it off, and pack the new one with grease and slip it on+snapring??

I'm pretty sure I saw that Energy Suspension makes covers specifically for those joints... Those should fix the rip and should be a bit tougher than the plain rubber crap.

you can replace the boot. the engergy suspension boots are super tough and thick but they do not clamp on in anyway. so they could get dirt in them.
to replace the ball joint you need a massive hammer to knock it out.
and jus hammer in teh new one from the top.
