h22 into EG help..
i am doing a h22 swap into an eg i am planning on running a p28 ecu chipped for a h series..... i was just stuck with the wiring... i was wondering what i would need to do in order to run a H22A4 in a 1995 eg dx.. since the h22 is OBD2 and the car is OBD1.. i was trying to avoid the expensive adaptor harnesses.. trying to do it myself.. what do u guys think would be the best ecu in this case... and would it be worth it gettng a conversion harness???????

expensive adaptor harness LMFAO dude you can get them for under a 100 bucks. If you are planing on stayin in this game for awhile you will notice that a 100 bucks aint **** get used to "expensive" things

use you harnness and adapt it to the motor. since your car is obd1 you can save alot of time and money. You dont need a jumper since you car is obd1. you can use a p28, p30 or use a p13. change out all the odb2 stuff to obd1. Here's a tip that will help. dont use the the stock h22 distributor, the h23 one instead. the coil is internal. change your injectors over to obd1 but straight 12v, this way you dont need a resister box. Just my $.02, i hope this helps

I have the same thing you do. Use a h23 dizzy and your stock harness and p28. If you get ahold of the injector plugs for the obd2 injectors then wire them up and you done have to use a resistor block and you have the right injectors to the motor. The h22a4 doesn't use an injector block. There is no obd1 injector that uses an injector block that has the flow of the obd1 h22 injectors. You could just use integra injectors but they are 40cc smaller than h22a4 injectors.
integra 240cc
h22a4 280cc
h22a1 (obd1) 310cc (needs resistor block)
That is why I changed the plus out for the obd2 plugs.

you need to read and search for the writups.
dont buy a damn harness, you can cut and splice what you need to, its not hard, fact is very easy.
you can use any obd1 so long as its programed for the H. HT member THC07 has a h22a4 EJ with a solid tune on an obd1 ecu. thc07 sells ecus and programs btw.
When doing a swap, only listen to those that have done that swap. really tho you should search there are some great write-ups on HT.
