Default Fuel Pump Issues, Very Random

I have a TRE (I think its TRE) 255LPH Fuel pump. Its been perfectly fine since I put the car together. Now starting last week it started acting up. its really weird too. I will start the car for the first time in the day and it will be fine. Then I'll go somewhere and turn the car off for a while (20min - couple hours). Then when I go to turn it back on it starts up. It runs fine until i start moving. Ill back out or pull out and then as soon as i start going forward for like 2 seconds it bogs down and dies. Its because it runs out of fuel, the computer cuts the ignition & the motor would run out of fuel anyway. I hear the fuel pump screaming like its dry, but my tank is full! Its getting worse and worse, to the point that now when it dies i have to sit there for like 20 mins priming it to get it to run again. And every time i turn it to prime it the pump sounds like its dry but its clearly not.

Is it possible for a stock fuel pump to power my 450cc Injectors? Becuase I can put that fuel pump back in and see if it solves the problem. Unless there is something else that can cause this stupid issue.

Sounds like the fuel pump is bad.

is that what happens when it goes bad? I mean once the car starts up after this happens, it runs fine. When i step on it the fuel pressure goes up like its supposed to. And its never stalled because of fuel related things except this one time with the FPR.

well with some calculations it seems as if i can run the stock fuel pump although it will be at almost 100% load. Hopefully it fixes my problem and I can get the fuel pump replaced ASAP.

Ok. I put the stock fuel pump back in and so far it seems as if the problem has gone away. I am going to contact TRE for a replacement.

Hearing that Jimster a buddy of mine has the same problem u do with a walbro in his MR2. That and the fuel line hose kept sliding off even when he replaced the clamp. He can drive his car for about 2 at the most 3 hours and then the car will die and when he cycles the key the pump is dead. So he then lets the car sit for 15 to 20 mins then cycle the key and the pump primes and the car starts. I just think it's really crazy how there seems to be so many pumps going bad. IDK

Since you've all ready fixed it, nevermind. But just in case someone else comes around with the same problem...
check for power at the pump connector when the car dies. if there's 12V, replace the pump. If there isn't, replace or repair the main relay.

The pump was running when the car died, i could hear it screaming, it sounded like it does when its dry. And priming it doesnt build fuel pressure.

send it back to them. They have warranty. I ran mine for about 5k miles. Driving my 450CC injectors for about 4k miles. 0 Issues with maintaining fuel pressure until last week when it started stalling after starting it up, and it wasnt able to build fuel pressure. Although once it caught there were no issues so idk.

man my honda civic 01 is giving me the same symptoms and i replaced both the fuel pump and pump relay and still was stalling after i went for a drive but after i park and turn it of and turn it back on it back to normal so it doesn't give me a chance to trouble shoot! im starting to think its the computer and when i turn it of and on it resets it jor something
anybody has any suggestions??
thanks

well im leaning more towards the fuel pump assembly or a hose or something because it had this problem with the original which i replaced and now its doing it with the new one so I doubt its the pump.there is something I saw in the fuel pump assembly that I have not changed I believe it's the fuel pump regulator but that little piece is like $130!

so i don't want to change it for no reason. but like yours my car does it ones in a while like every 2 weeks and then its back to normal after i turn it of for 5 min and restart it.
what else do you think? is it possible that the computer is glitching and not sending electricity to the injectors and there for stalling??....
i cant even take it to a mechanic cause its working perfect and does give me a chance to trouble shoot it.
changed:
spark plugs
airfilter
oil /filter
took the injectors out and tested them
fuel pump
fuel pump relay
hmmm what next
engine light did come on and took it to auto zone and got the air tempeture sensor replaced

yeah i replaced the fuel pump and when i did since it only does this to me once in a while i just thought it go it fixed but it did it again yesterday with the new pump but the stalling stops after just turn it of for a few min. so i can't figure out what it is.inside the pump assembly where its housed i seen a fuel regulator but they don't sell it at the auto parts i may have to go to the dealer.
