Default Fuel gauge and fuel light...

Just a quick question, my fuel gauge no longer works and I don't feel like getting it fixed so I'm just counting the miles. But the question is, if the fuel gauge doesn't work will the low fuel light still come on? or if the gauge is out the light won't work either?

Depends what car you have, some don't have a fuel light. I know mine doesn't.

The fuel idiot light will work if the sender unit in the tank is working correctly.
