halfshaft stuck in trans halfway

halfshaft stuck in trans halfway
ok like the title says i was putting in my half shaft and like some how it only went half way and got stuck now i cant seem to get it out and like its stuck i cant hit it in no more nor get it out its like it is welded on there.....can anyone give me some tips or help here....

i am doing all oif that i tried prying it smashing it with a hammer but nothing its like stuck in there so good....and its like only half way in...it seems as if somthing has locked it or somthing....o and its a gsr hydro trans with lsd

im just throwing out a thought, cuz i dont really know. from the side that the other axle goes into, if u pull it out, won't u see straight through? mayber stick a long screw driver down there and hammer it, like i said i dont know, all i've ever done is pry them out.

yea ive actually done both of thoughs thought too and like dames that thing jus wont come out but ill keep on trying all these thanks

I get this alot with the honda/acuras that I work on. A lot of the times, when you try to pull the axles after removing the spinle/knuckle set up, they come out half ways, then get stuck. I used to just leave them, and pull the whole thing out with the engine, then sledge em off. Heres what you can try...
If you have it about half way, I use a piece of 1x2 wood, stick that in between the gap, and then add the crow bar. I use about a 2.5ft crow bar, which has pretty good pressure. You have to angle the board in there, and then use it as a sort of leverage, and usually if you yank the **** out of the crow bar, it will pop right out. If you need, PM me, i'll send you a pic of what it looks like, as the typing prob doesnt make much sense.
