engine seems to be locked up
Hey guys trying to figure out what happened to my civic dx. i have a new starter and battery and the engine will not turn over at all. I even pulled all the plugs and tried to turn it and no go at all

You tried turning the motor over with a ratchet on the crank pulley and it wouldn't spin? Did you mishift or over-rev, motors don't normally seize out of the blue. If it wouldn't just start one day I would think electrical so either the distributor or ignition

so you just changed the starter out? did you make sure you got all the wires hooked up to it? theres a little wire that connects to it that sometimes gets forgotten and the car wont start unless its hooked up

yea the starter is good, the week before i parked it to use my ranger it would stumble while starting cold to the point it would almost die then smooth out. then when i wanted to use the civic again it would not go. The starter is trying to turn the engine over but it cannot get move the engine more then a few degrees

not enough voltage to the starter = will not start.
Check battery for 12 volt with voltmeter
Jump start the starter: turn key to run, run wire from small ign wire on starter to larger wire on starter, take off wire as soon as starter turns over
Get battery cables and jump start car
Check grounds
