Re: Engine Coolant Temp (ECT) sensor questions
i have a question towards the cooling problems. my gauge cluster says my car is running at 210 degrees. like a idiot i figured there would be pressure there for the cap should spray coolant out. i put a towel over it and opened it. there was no pressure and the coolant should have been boiling but it wasnt. is there a reason my gauge could be giving me the wrong reading from the signal sensor

i had a buddy splice a gauge into the signal wire that comes from the signal sensor to the cluster. it says the car is running hot but its not even hot enough to open the t stat. i know the gauge on the cluster is shot. im just lost on what to check now
