EM1 window probelm
the windows in my 2000 civic si keeps falling off the track on the driver side. For example, I would dismantle the door and put the window back on track and go off for a drive and the windows full roll up and down perfectly fine until I hit a bump on the road and I would hear a cracking sound, it sounds like the glass is hitting metal, after the sound if I roll down the window it will fall off the track. Sometimes even after I finish putting the window on track, it will roll up and down perfectly fine until I close the door and you can hear the same glass hitting metal sound and the glass falls off the track if I roll it down... It is an endless cycle...anyone know how to fix this?

I dunno man. I have the same problem. It's not as bad as yours, but when the window is down, and somone slams the door, they pop off the track. Disassembling the door isn't the hard part. It's putting the panel back on, lol.

Re: EM1 window probelm
I used to have the same problem with my 2000 EX coupe, (although not as bad as yours), my driver side window would fall out of the track once every two or three months. I'd take it apart, put it back in the track, sinch it back up, (had to replace/upgrade some nuts/bolts at the bottom of the rails), and then it would be ok for a while.
Eventually, I had to replace my regulator cause the teeth wore down so far, it wouldn't roll up the last two inches....once the regulator was replaced, the window never came out of the track again. The guy at the body shop even said he suspected the worn out regulator was the cause, as it had a lot of lateral play when he pulled it out.
My passenger window only popped out on me once in the four years I've been driving the car, (that side doesn't get much use), so I haven't bothered to replace the regulator on that side yet. (Needs a new engine first anyway)
