EK fog light: connector taped to rear of fuse box?
In the instructions for the ek fog lights, it says that I should be able to find a connector that is blue tapped to the rear of the fuse box that is free so that I can connect it with the switch harnesss...I didn't find any free connector blue taped to the back -_- Is there something I'm missing or is it set up differently?

no you are not missing anything, its back there you just have to look very hard. It took me about 30mins first time i looked for it. It should be a brown connector with blue tape on it. Just keep looking and you'll find it.

oh yea, when it says behind the fuse box, does it mean out of site behind? hahaha
I also had an after market alarm installed, is it possible that they used that connector to power the alarm instead?

thats a possibility but i doubt it. Go under your hood and find the other end of the wire, it should be a brown connector with blue tape just like under your dash, see if this is plugged to any thing. Here are some pics I found on H-tech of the connector under the dash.

aite jdmadam, I'll let you know tom, I give up for now. It's getting dark and my right hand is bloody from the stupid metal knee bolster -_-
I saw those photos, but to no avail. I think I'll do what you suggest and follow the brown connector in the engine bay, because I was able to find that one. I'll let you know how it goes tom, thanks for all the help man.

I just checked and took a picture of the same angles as the pictures above, I still can't find the brown plug. Check out the photo for yourself. Anyone else have any other ideas? I think it might have been cut or something when the last owner put the alarm on...possibly. I would have to hate to take this down to a mechanic for him to find it himself because I really don't want to remove the entire fusebox to just find a brown plug.

I'm going to have to remove the fuse box because it's obviously not taped where it's suppose to be and I can't see with the jumble of wires...brb haha

Re: EK fog light: connector taped to rear of fuse box?
SUCCESS!!! I found the brown plug! It turns out it was above the fuse box and behind. I saw it immediately when I remove the fuse box. Now I have another problem, I'm not getting any power to the fogs. Everything is connected. The brown plugs from the switch harness is plugged in with the other brown plug behind the fuse box. The relay is plugged into the 4 pronged connector and grounded to the chasis. The headlight harness has been disconnected and reconnected to the switch harness and the other end attached back into the headlight port. The connector to the switch is connected. I checked all grounds and they are making contact. I don't get it. The headlights are turning on, but the fogs aren't and the switch isn't lighting up. Any ideas?

is your fog light kit a cheap one or ebay one? If so the light inside your fog light switch is going to get so hot that it will melt the inside of switch and cause it not to work any more. Just a word of advise because my friend brought one from ebay and thats what happened.

if you are 100% sure it is the right plug that goes to the one under the dash then just cut the connectors of and splice them together
