Default EH9 with D16A9 /Auto trans: whats common with your US civics?

Hello All,
I'm from egypt and new to this formu
I just bought a 93 civic sedan si, EH9, chassis code, the way we have them here in the middle east is with a DOHC D16A9 engine and and a 4 speed Auto trans. Quite an interesting setup very long gearing and plus 4000RPM power delivery

I am rebuilding the car with US sourced parts, nothing drastic, just a restoration and mild engine suspension retune/
whats common with this setup with your US civics?

engine>> I know US DOHC engines are called Z something, what parts are interchangeable , throttle body?, intakes? cold air intake kit? what fits and what doesnt?

exhaust>> are all D series headers the same? can i just shop for a d series header?

suspension/brakes>> I assume these are identical to US spec 4 door EGs?

good to be here

Research JDM DOHC ZC (black top specifically), that is what the equivalent engine is. There are lists of parts that are interchangeable with your engine. Just remember JDM DOHC ZC (black top/3rd gen) = D16A8 = D16A9

The US equivalent is a D16A1 and while some parts are interchangeable not all parts are the same/equivalent.

Exhaust flange is the same pattern for all 88-00 Civic D-series but the exhaust port is shift up/down 3mm.

thanks 24ten

you are right, my engine i think matches to the 4th gen JDM ZC, cam sensor inside the dist.

how about the exhaust system itself, i assume the same as US 4 door eg civics?

how about the suspension, brakes, steering, any known differences?

I believe that's the only major difference on the 4th gen with respect to that sensor.

I couldn't answer directly about the rest of the things you mention but I'd believe it's reasonable to assume it's nearly the same difference. "jlicrx" is a very knowledgeable person regarding ZC specifics, hope he sees this thread.
