Eacv/Iacv hoses not connected??? help
Just bought 95 honda civic dx was told just recently got a new engine d15b8 is stamped on engine cel is on code 14 and 1 noticed eacv/Iacv hose not connected closest to the drivers side the other one is. I can not find where it goes can someone please help me. I don't believe there is a place for it. Also has a aem air intake and the hose for that is not there bought new on but can figure where that goes either? I am at a loss and would appreciate your input.

Well... If only one side of the IAC valve has the coolant hose connected but not the other, you may want to check if there is any coolant in the car at all because it will bleed out of there if that is left open like you described.
As for the other hose you're trying to describe I don't understand what you're talking about.
Code 14 is for the IAC valve, which if it's not properly hooked up or doesn't have coolant in it, that will set that code.
Code 1 is for the oxygen sensor.

I checked the coolant and it is in there I pulled Iacv off and no coolant in there I think that Iacv has been bypassed? I checked the connecting pipe and can only find one nipple for a hose which is connected with a hose to the thermostat housing. If it is bypassed how would I get the cel off for perm?

so fix it.. run a hose from the t-stat area to the iacv, and from the iacv to the water pipe. somebody probably had an idle problem and rather than fix it the right way they just bypassed it altogether. so once you get it hooked up keep in mind you may need to clean it out, replace the seal, and/or replace it altogether.
