Door jamb switch..
Would a faulty "djs" as i've called it, make the dome light flicker and eventually go out..?? Like if one was "going" bad, would it make the light actually flicker on an off, without any door actions being taken -open/closed-...??
And someone once said they replaced their "djs" at autozone or something relevant, is this honestly true..??

I would be testing the "djs" before jumping to conclusions about it being the cause of the flickering light.
Yes, it could be the cause...but the dome itself could have bad ground or bad 12v contact.
The door jam switch just provides a ground, when the door is open...pretty hard for it to go bad.
(Im guessing you have that rating because youre too much of an *** in other threads...theres a limit)

true, well yeah i tried to ground out the switch to test it today an had no luck... an the fuse is good... hmmm, above the bulb on the dome light it looks like that area burnt a lil, like burnt a hole through the top or something, maybe it did some kinda overheat maneouver on me...
an yeah ur guess is right, i am an *******.. but its alright cuz i really dont give a **** because i help out WAYYYYY more than I contribute to being an *******... Just something to aggrivating about people that act like their the ****, or kno more than u, or compare their cars over the internet, that really gets on last nerve... So instead of being a little bitch an keeping quiet about it, I go with my italian instinct and let them kno exactly how I feel about their lovely attitude...

Re: (JDM_SOHC)
hmm, i just tried to turn on the lights with key in acc an it doesnt beep.. im not sure if it ever did but im thinkin this might have something to do with my **** not workin... i just did the search of all searches "ht, d-series, google, yahoo, ect" and in NONE of them does it ever mention exactly what could be the cause of this problem... kinda weird...
For a switch to go bad, that is working off 1 circuit given power by a fuse seems odd when the fuse is good an all the wiring seems fine...

Re: Door jamb switch.. (JDM_SOHC)
i know coupes 96-98 had a bulletin out on the dome light having problems. somthing about the contacts for the switch would loose flexibility. i can't remeber if the heat from the bulb melting the plastic had anything to do with it but i want to say it did.
mine flickers in the "on" position. it's annoying. pull the light out and look at the contacts. you may be able to see the problem there.
