Default Oil Sending Unit Problems, The Unit Broke Of Partially Threaded In The Block How Can I Fix This

As I stated in the title the sending unit broke partial threaded in the block, how could it have broken, the shop I had it installed in used silicone to thread it in an a brass oils ending unit I call

Get an easy-out from sears for $8. It's reverse threaded... as you tighten it into the broken portion it will grip and pull it right out.
