Default Do honda ECUs still use the o2 sensor if they are throwing a code 41?

Just like the title says... I've recently wired a techedge wbo2 sensor into my ecu using the simulated narrow band output wired to the o2 signal wire of the ecu. The computer is throwing a code 41 (bad primary o2 sensor heater), is the ECU still using the o2 sensor signal for fueling corrections or does it disable the sensor? Also, I have a hondata s200, do I still have to use a resistor between the heater wire and ground to clear the code 41 or can I just disable the heater in the hondata software?

I would guess (emphasis on guess) it still uses the input without the heater, and you should be able to disable the heater with hondata.
