Default A/C Problem on Civc 1.6 VTi EK4

Hello

I have a problem in the A / C in my Honda Civic 1.6 VTi EK4 98 .

With the AC off , the evaporator is frozen and can hear water inside the HVAC .

I changed the filter cabin and cleaned the drain pipe A / C .

It seems that the A / C is always running.
Once you start the engine , there is a rotational fall as if the A / C was on.
I removed the AC compressor relay and the problem was " solved " and that now the A / C does not work anymore , as would be normal .

P.S- The A / C is doing cold.

Where could be the problem ?
Relay, compressor or the valve ?
Thank you all.

Seems like an electrical issue. Does your a/c button stay lit even when you move the lever to turn off the fan?

Almost certainly the A/C thermostat inserted into the evaporator box behind the glovebox is toast.

I assumed that the OP meant the A/C never cycles off when the button is pressed. After reading your question, I may have misinterpreted OP's problem. Therefore, your question about the button light is a very good one. If it's off, then the problem is likely a wire short somewhere between the A/C thermostat and condenser fan relay.

This could very well relate to the other thread, that blue/red wire could be constantly grounded.

Yap. The A/C button its ok. Up for off and down for on.
The light is on when the A/C is on.

When the A/C light is on, the air is cold, when the A/C light is off, the air is cold to because this frozen evaporavor , and the air passing through it , out cold .
That's why I say that the A / C seems to always running.

I noticed also that the tube coming from the compressor , which is closer to the condesador , this very hot.
It is normal ?

If the condenser fan stops running and the compressor clutch disengages, then:

Bad A/C thermostat. Test to verify and then replace.

Ok thanks.

I have to disassemble the evaporator to replace the thermostat , or I exchange without dismantling anything else?

There's conflicting information about whether the evaporator must be removed to replace the A/C thermostat. The service manual suggests that you recover refrigerant, remove evaporator, remove/replace thermostat -- reverse order installation. Some posts by members, however, suggest that you may be able to access the thermostat directly without evaporator removal. If you go the latter with success, please post a DIY with pictures!!!

Please post up the thermostat replacement on here if you are able to do it without removing the evaporator. I just fixed my ac issues last night aside from replacing my compressor and I have a new thermostat plugged in but not in the evaporator yet. Best of luck bro Ron is good at what he does !

Uauuu. Thanks for the pics and help.

What is the best way to test the termostat?

After analyzing the service manual , I have no knowledge to do the job .

Prefer not afford to take risks and make matters worse .
I'll take the car to the mechanic and take pictures of the process.

However I better analyze this situation.
