Ok lets start with basics!
HID or High intesnity discharge are the new "IT", or at least that's what i think. But my moto is do it right or dont do it all. I mean dont get me wrong, i went through the same " plug and play kit" phase and the money i spent on it didnt justify the quality!
So there i was driving my 99 civic Si with H4 Phillips kit from http://www.xenondepot.com, which was top notch!
Anyways lets get down to it
Number 1: what you need is 2 Bi-xenon projectors(Hella, Bosch, or whichever kind you have) 2 ballasts, and 2 4100k OEM bulbs( I suggest 4100-4300k, because it IS the brightest bulb out there and im sure you want the quality)

Ok so you go your stuff, now you need a couple of headlights! You can get them either used or through honda dealership, but im sure they will charge you an arm and a leg, so just try to find a used set!
They way i deciced to mount the projector is this: I tried to push it as much IN as possible so it wouldnt be sticking out, well in order to do this, i had to start drilling across the bulb holder like this


After i was done with that, i obvisouly had to clean out the hole where projector would go and it came out like this



Ok after i was done with that i had to mark where the so called LEGS of the projector would go, here is what i mean by legs

after i finished marking, i cut the spots on the headlights and it looked like this after i was done

Now the projector goes in perfectly!

So after i was done with that, i plug the projector into the headlight and from the back of the headlights marked the spots where i would drill



Here is where it gets complicated! and i dont have pictures either!
Basically you drill through and using bolts and nuts to hold it in place, now you WILL have to cut this part of the headlight or your HIGH beams wont work, becuz the selenoid wont be able to move becuz of the headlight blocking it!

Thank god i DID take pictures of the mounting brackets that i did
here they are!
I used JB Weld to hold the to the headlights, and also threaded them so i can use a bolt to hold the projector

Ok now that we took care of the projector, we gotta start worrying about the SHROUD!!!! Which was nightmare, becus it required more cutting and sanding down the headlights HOLE

This is the shroud that was made by my friend using a CNC machine
Here is the blue print for it, meaning if you print this and go to ANY shop with a CNC machine and they cut the shrouds from aluminum it will 100% FIT HELLA BI-XENON projectors from AUDI A6/RS6

Now after i put the shrouds on the projectors, i had to measure how much MORE to do i have to sand it down in order to make it fit, and after sanding it down, projector WITH a shroud went it perfectly


After that was done, i had to test to make sure there is no glare or anything like that



and Output across the street


Well then i did the same thing on the other headlights, used silicone so reseal the headlights and of course lots of silicone on the back of the projector

For people who is too lazy to make a perfet circular hole for the projector and no hook ups to the CNC machine. Do what I do. :D

I would have done the opposite (in fact I actualy did the opposite on my retrofit). Meaning, i'd try to push it as far out to prevent any light coming out from the projector to be bounced of the OEM reflector. Which would disperse the beam pattern and ruin the sharpness of the projector lens beam to begin with..

But judging from your pictures, it looks like any secondary light reflection is not really a major issue. The CNC shield is nice too.

looks really good, what i would like to know is if you stuck them to the back of the headlight housing, how in the world are you able to aim them? or did they just somehow end up at the right height?

Thanx guys! Appreciate all the good comments! Yea AIMing is a BIG concern if you do it my way, bit as i said as long as you can nail it perfectly to the output is parralel to the ground, aiming is easy with just adjustin the headlight screws
