with your car on the ground have someone move your steering wheel back and forth from lock to lock. Then turn the wheel all the way to the right and have that person quickly jurk the wheel back and forth. Make sure to watch the rack where the mount is. you'll see it move.
I fixed mine tho, i went and bought a manual steering box bracket and made the holes longer to line up with the power brace. No more binding.

I'm trying to replace my power steering rack in my 93 civic. Would it be easier for me to just buy power steering rack and put that in, or buy a manual one and attempt to put it in. I just had a couple questions...
if I buy a manual one can I make the bolts fit n how would I do that?
Can I use a power steering rack, and not use the power steering?(I have no belt and lines are cut or disconnected.)
Thanks if someone can help i'm really confused on this one and I know if I try and put power steering in it it will be a pain to get the high pressure lines of and figure out whats up with the hanging power fluid tubes.
