Distributor & TDC... question
So I had my motor apart... Set the bottom end to TDC using the marks on the crankshaft pulley. Set the head to TDC using the UP and - marks on the camshaft pulley.
Got ready to put it all together but just to be sure, I took the distributor cap off to make sure it was pointing at the #1 cylinder, and it's pointing to #4? I rotated it multiple times and the distributor rotor thingy still points to the left side instead of the right?
What should I do?

The distributor does not need to be adjusted. Just bolt it up and turn the car on. There are grooves on the distributor that alings with the camshaft to make sure that it fires on the correct cylinder.
