i got some del sol map lights installed them then noticed my door wont open lol ,
do i need to have the jdm rods as well or is there anyway to make them work with the stock u.s rods?

Yes, you can use the stock door cables but it is kind of a pain to get them to function properly on a consistent basis. I connected two small metal clips to the stock door cables to get the proper tension on them to open the doors. The setup worked quite well for a couple of years until I purchased the JDM door rods.

If you decide to try and use the stock cables, you'll probably have to experiment with something to get it to work. It's a lot less headache if you can just find someone selling the JDM rods.

I'll pm you a possible source that might be able to get you just the rods or you can check ebay.
