del sol door pannel

Re: del sol door pannel (tbud454)
Heres what you do
you get something to pop off the cover for the screw for the handle, then you unscrew the screw beneath. then you unscrew the screw for the pull handle to close the door which is under another cover. then there is one plastic anchor screw type thing which also needs to be unscrewed. now just pull the panel out and make sure the window is down its alot easier this way. to get the handles out you need to take the rod and the cable out of the mechanism. this is easy. alll you do is push the white clip collar things on them right where they go into the handle by the two barbed parts and they should pop out. i hope that makes sense because im bad at explaining things, but ill always try to help a fellow sol owner. it should be clearer once you start the process.

When you've unscrewed all the screws, and are ready to take the door panel off, here's a tip:
Pull firmly, but smoothly, around the bottom of the panel. There are these plastic tabs that hold the panel on and you don't want to break any. Now, to pull the panel off altogether, push up on the side closest to the mirror. Like RedDelSol si said, it's much easier with the window down. It might seem hard but if you go slow, it'll eventually come out.
