So I used to have an Ek with a automatic D16y8, but I wrecked the car still have the engine. Tryna find another shell and converting to 5-speed. As for now I have a 93 EG and of course the engine is a d15b7 5-speed,I recently replaced the head gasket with the Honda 3 layer and had the head resurfaced,polished, valve adjusted etc. Now it's my understanding that my automatic y8 is faster than my manual b7?? Is this true?? And if so would I gain more power if I took the y8 and drop it onto my b7 transmission? Or should I just swap the head and wire up VTEC??
