Not a whole lot. Best bang for your buck is turbo.

the most obvious and simple swaps are the b series vtec swaps, b16a and b18c. in my opinion, after upgrading my d16y8 with intake, header and all the bolts on i could pretty much get, save your money and swap or turbo, you'll be much happier. the b series swap has been done so much, they're simple and you can find tons of information on this site for them.

sorry Im a new civic owner (96 civic EX with a D16y8 in it) but what the heck is and ITR swap?? If this is a tranny swap Id be REALLY interested in any info you have cause my civic is good in 1,2, and 3 but then 4 and 5 seems like they crap themselves unless you rev them to 4k RPMs then it perks up and flattens out on the revs. 80 is easy to achieve on the interstate but 100 is a struggle. any help would be great. PS. sorry for interupting but i had to reply to a post since im a noob and i just really want to learn about my civic and be able to easily find and buy parts for it

I know you're a new user, but please don't hijack someone elses thread. To answer your question though an ITR swap is swapping in an Integra Type R engine and transmission.

i have a d16y8. i didnt add any of the bolt-ons to it but it has I/E/H throttle body(not sure on size) skunk2 intake manifold and im pretty happy with just that. with all that on top of the suspension mods i have, this car is a F'n blast to drive. and i have kept up with bolted-on GSRs. i also pulled the ac out and put on a set of slipstreams.

ya dont swap a b series in there. just turbo it, get a cam (if you want) and thats it. If you really wanna go out u can build the engine for boost (i built mine for less than $1000) and it will run hard as **** on boost.
