d16y8 manifold IACV, do i cap off both nipples on iacv or can i leave it open?????
im installing a d16y8 manual intake mani on a d16y7, im having high idle problems i get no cel but it just revs up and down and at about 2000 rpm. since im using iacv from d16y7 thats connected to the TB and with the d16y8 iavc still on back of manifold. ive adjusted the throttle cable and all plugs have been plugged in i used d16y7 TB on y8 manifold should i have left d16y8 TB on intake manifold? and if i leave the d1y8 iacv on the back of mani do i have to cap off both nipples on it?

another botched Y8 manifold swap....
you need to take of the Y8 IACV (the one on the back of the I/M) and replace it with a block off plate, make it out of sheet metal. FYI those nipples on the IACV are for coolant

I think you're referring to the coolant lines. They can be left open.
Sounds like you have a decent sized vacuum leak. What year is the manifold and what year is the engine you've installed it on? You may have a 99-00 manifold on a 98 or earlier Y7, in which case air will be leaking due to the air injection channels.

But leaving the IACV on the back of the manifold won't cause a vac leak.
