d16y people, LOOK at your engine
Ok, I need to know one thing. Pop your hood if you have either a d16y7 or y8, look under the battery you should see a clear hose running up to the fuel filter. Is the top of the hose open or sealed closed? Anyone know the purpose of this hose? Mine is burned closed becuase of a fire I had, but i need to kow if I need to replace it with an unclosed hose.

Re: (turbotime)
it has a plastic square right angle thing on the end of the plastic tube.....its is supposed to be open...its a breather...
so if its open your ok....if its burnt, then that sucks, but it should be fine...
hopefully the rest of the car is ok

well im gona have to say that if it didnt fix your problem...then thats not it....ts just a breather if its the same thing im talking about...
if it hesitates threw the entire rpm range and you had a fire in the engine compartment i would start checking wires....make sure your engine harness is entact and there isnt anything that is destroyed.
thats my idea for you
