yea it's hard to find those parts...i my self havent yet came upon a d15 vtec...
nah it's not worth it i belive the d15 vtec and da d16 vtec dun have much diffrences...
maybe the df15vtec has a liitle bit more power...
but d16 parts and engines are more common all depending where also

Re: d15b7 vs d15b vtec
The d15b vtec has around 25 more horse than the b7 and around 7 more tq. So if you're looking for a massive power gain, go elsewhere.
As far as parts being hard to find, they're not. The head uses Z6 parts (except for the cam shaft) and the block uses mostly Civic VX parts (d15z1) except for the pistons and crank which are unique to the d15b. The d15b is pretty much a direct replacement for the d16z6. The d15b is the most powerful d series made.

i have one....direct from japan! JDM FTW!
but seriously, it makes better power than a stock Z6....and it is a wonderful baby to boost it has dual acctuator solenoids, therefore acting as it has 3 cams.....thats why its called a 3-stage vtec.
fantastic!
