i have a 99 civic ex obd2 i found a new engine a d15b7 of a 93 civic ob1 i want use this engine should i use the block of the d15 and use the d16 vtec head or just keep the hole d15b7 motor intack and drop it in 99 or just keep looking for a new the regular d16y8 motor

pro and cons would like the info

Why would you want to downgrade? Why are you even getting another engine? Whats wrong with the current one?

current motor blown throw rod in the block the d15 0 miles cheap strarts and tran engine interals 300 buck
