Re: CTR/ITR vs. Crower Stage 2? (Drag-On)
I have heard stories first-hand about peoples Crowers cracking and absolutely destroying their head. It is possible they have began to use a different material to build their cams, fixing the problem....For the most gains compared to price, I would still say to get the Crower Stage2's.

Re: CTR/ITR vs. Crower Stage 2? (b16a ferio)
If you talk to Brian Crower (think thats his name) about his cams snapping he has said that they did have a bad batch out there for a while. Also any damage that was done from those cams, crower rembursed them for all of the damage. All of those cams were recalled and taken off the market a while ago. Now he use a different core to make his cams now that will not break according to him
There was a post about them like a year ago on here and someone talked directly to Mr. Crower himself.
So if you are considering not getting crower cams because of them breaking they wont break or damage your head
I know from first hand expereince that the crower 403 cams pulled better times on the q/t mile than the skunk2 stage 2 cams

Here's another thread about broken cams if you haven't read it already.
hates when people slander Crower, they make good stuff.

I was running the Crower 63402's before I went the FI route. You do need to upgrade the valvetrain, and get your motor tuned somehow when running these cams.
Everything else being equal, I think they will outperform CTR cams, they (63402's) have more lift and duration.

in my b16a3 i put down 170whp in a fairly tuned motor. this is on a bone stock bottom end, dented jdm dc 4-1, stock airbox, 2 1/2" exhaust, skunk2 program, and v-afc. there was definitely more tuning that could have been done, but we ran out of time to play w/ the cam gears more...i mostly tuned it for mid-range, but the power peaked at 9000rpm

After witnessing a friends ordeal with crower first hand, I wouldn`t buy **** from them.
