crappy idle, misfiring etc... help...
Alright, this problem has just recenty showed up. A couple weeks ago, i noticed that my car would hesitate bad under acceleration, but it wasnt constant. I also had a little vibration from 2-3k rpms. I decided to put fuel system cleaner in her, and the vibration went away, but the hesitation is still there..
So anyways, the other day I let my friend drive my car, and i was in it. He took it to about 7k rpms and let off and I heard a loud *** "POP"!. I thought it was someting falling around but the he assured me it was my exhaust. So i tell him to rip on it again, and again it goes "POP". I assumed the problem was related to the fact that my cat is gutted and it was backfiring.
The next night I through the drive-thru at Wendy's and my car starts trying to die, and started to what seemed to me like it was "missing" so i shut it off. I start it back up and it went away...
This morning when i was getting ready to go to work, I went out to warm up my car. I popped the hood too take a look, and i could hear the idle drop really low, and I could hear it missing. So i decided to take my valve cover off and check my timing.
Everything seemed to be fine, but my belt seemed a little loose so i tensioned it back up. I put everything together and go to start it. It seemed to at around 1500rpms (cus it was cold) so i went around and checked everything. My exhaust was coming out normally and everything seemed fine. It actually sounded a bit louder then usual though.
Then i got in the car, and gave her a little gas, and right away the idle dropped near "death" and then it went back up. I do it again, and the same thing happens. I seriously stumped as go what is wrong here.. heres what i have checked lately
spark plugs are good
spark plug wires are also good lookin (havent checked for spark yet)
put fuel system/injector cleaner in her
Im seriously about to pour gasoline on her, and light her up. Ive had nothing but problems lately with her. o btw, i beat a 96 mustang gt before this "misfiring" What could this be?? thanks in advance

That statement should not have been added, but are your injectors all working there no CEL? what does your idle drop to.

how is your fuel filter, air filter. The best way is to look at the plugs. You can tell a lot from looking at plugs. Also is this think stock, what kind of mods can help us.
