crankshaft sensor help

Default crankshaft sensor help

I have my old d16y7 and putting in a sohc zc into my
98 civic lx. Now the shop told me I need to use the crankshaft
sensor and transfer it onto the zc
where is this sensor located and how do
I change into my zc ?

It's behind the lower timing cover bolted to the oil pump, which also needs to be swapped.

Where can I get those parts for the bypass.. damn I dont know about
wiring.. I dont want to mess up the car lol.. thats why I was
wondering if it was easier to just put on ckf

Any automotive parts store should have them. Scotchlok/quicksplice connector.

It's a lot easier and cheaper to just do the CKF bypass. Otherwise you need a USDM oil pump (I wouldn't reuse the pump off the old engine, especially if it had a spun bearing. A new oil pump is about $300. The CKF trick require about 50 cents worth of scotchloks and 10 minutes of your time.

Really im gonna have to look into this.
im just not good with wiring. But I guess this is my only route
