Electrical PROBLEME PLEASE HELP (Brake lights on all the time)
Since yesterday all of a sudden my battery died so i jump it ran fine, then it died again after being park for serveral hours. Ive notice that my tail lights and 3rd brake light is on all the time even when the key is out why is that can anyone help me thankx.

Friend of mine just had the same thing happen. There was a plastic piece that used to be in the hole on the brake pedal arm. I guess after years this thing finally wore out and broke off. Same symptoms as you. We fixed it by putting a nut and bolt in the hole. The head of the bolt now pushes in the brake switch and shuts off the lights. Just make sure that the bolt head isn't too high and tries to push the switch in too far. We had to do a bit of grinding to get the clearance just right.

It wasn't the switch that went bad. It was the plastic/rubber thing that goes into the arm that actually makes contact with the switch.
But yeah, if you get a bolt head that's too high you CAN break the switch and then be in a completely different situation.
