Pictures after auto to manual swap EJ6
This is my virgin-ish EJ6 auto before it was touched. Pretty riced out and lame huh?
Here are some quick shots of how it turned out and the color scheme i'm playing with. The car is gonna be championship white someday soon and I'm keeping it fairly stock D16 with bolt ons to retain gas mileage.
I am going to replace the blue narrow a/f with wideband red digital autometer a/f to match the Phantom II
It's not setup to alter fuel levels as of now because it's not going to see any turbo action for a long time... it's pretty well a diagnostic screen i got for free from a friend.
Gotta get new white faces that cover up the auto dash display... but its kinda cool for now
OEM parts are awesome!
It's not much but I'm proud of it and maybe you guys can appreciate a clean civic interior.

You should take the pedal covers off and put OEM floormats in. Other than that it looks much better. I like the gauges. Did you do the swap yourself?

I uploaded all my photos to photobucket (which is free and pretty easy to use) and then copied the urls of the photos into my post here on honda tech using the

I am definately going to get the OEM mats but i wanted to protect the floor throughout my swap! and yes i did the swap myself - and I got all the parts for pretty cheap.
The hardest part was wiring in my ELD ( CEL code 20 ) Canadian cars dont use the Electronic load detector and my USDM manual ecu was throwing a code so I put in my own pin on the harness. Big pain.

Hey well at least you got the patience. Last time, me and a friend did a tranny swap, It was such a pain. BTW D16 Auto-Manual Swap. We eventually got tired of the bull. Left it for 2 weeks then finally got it done! lol.

I am hoping to one day boost my D and give it a little kick - but given that our civics are reliant on pressure being read by the MAP sensor it can be my first inkling i have a vacuum leak somewhere etc. ( my gauge reads up to 30in/hg)

You know how stoked i would be to have RHD? I live in a small farm community and my car sticks out horribly but i could probably even get props from hicks in a RHD he he.

How much are the OEM floormats? Are they fairly durable....? And do any of them have red details on them to match the rest of whats going in the car? If not black is fine.

Re: (civicdriverzero1)
You could probably pick up a pair of used ones for about $50 on HondaMarketplace if you can find them. If not just get new ones they wont be too expensive either. Yes they are extremely durable... theyre OEM... theyre the best! The 99-00 Si floormats have the red Si symbol on them and they would look great with the red stitching on your shiftboot.

I did my whole swap without pulling out the motor. I let down the tranny side by removing mounts etc. It took a little while, and since i bought all used parts I ended up with a few issues based on bad used parts. I had to buy a stainless braided clutch line and all the goodies ( new master, slave, clutch, flywheel ). I should have put in a lightweight flywheel but i couldn't afford a non-ebay wheel... so i guess when i fry the clutch someday i'll do that.

Re: (civicdriverzero1)
Sounds like you know what your doing man. Its MUCH easier with the motor dropped out but Im sure you realized that and just didnt wanna go threw the trouble of that. Get us another pic of the interior when you complete it and Id like to see an engine bay pic and exterior pics when its ready.

Re: (civicdriverzero1)
Try not to laugh your asses off at these new photos I drafted up for your viewing amusement!
This was my car as of the year 2005 or so. Don't mind my retarted *** in the pictures the are for senior high school crap. And try not to pee youself.
I USED to think this was cool you know. Once....
But things have changed and the auto to manual swap opened my eyes into the world of normal but sexy civics.
Here in the farmland near the canadian border - we are behind the popular trends by about 3 years or so.
Here's what I'm into right now (post tranny swap)
Decal Free!
These projectors will probably get replaced by black housing JDM headlights
Tails are gonna be red/white Si type
Strong tranny with short gears for my D16
These bad boys were free and I think they are awesome looking all painted up so laugh if you want but they're going on the car when it's painted. my OEM fenders had cancer (dent removal gone wrong)
That's all for now. It's just coming alive after being in storage and paint is the next step.

Not to worry - I have seen the light and error of my old ways. I'm JDM reformed now! Your sense of disgust is the reaction I was going for with my old pictures ha ha ha
