Coolant temp fluctuating
I bought my car (stock 96 ex) last year with a blown headgasket. I had the head shaved and block checked and replaced the entire cooling system, radiator, thermostat, water pump, timing belt, everything.
The car has been fine for over a year, just yesterday I was driving home and my gauge started climbing, then went down, then stayed up for a little while and then went down. Figured maybe the thermostat went bad, changed it and is still doing the same thing. After I installed the new one the car drove a good 10 minutes perfect before it started overheating again.
I have burped the system multiple times in hopes there was a pocket, but no good results. With my infrared temp laser it says right at the thermostat housing is about 200deg, both lower and upper radiator hoses stick around 165-185deg
Any help would be great.
