Code for Honda Head Unit
I was having some work on my civic and the battery needed to be disconnected. Now, in order for my head unit to work again, I need to enter in a specific code. The numebr was given to me ona card, but now I can't find it. Has this happened to anyoen before and is there a way to retrieve the code number from Honda? Having no music is killing me!!!

call up the local honda dealership tell them what happend, and you have to give them the manufacturing code... and the serial number I believe... and then they will give you the code... I had to get it from them when I sold my ITR cd player

I'm really surprised people have radio codes. My OEM Civic radio doesn't need one. I've pulled the battery numerous times and nothing. Starts right up (of course without the memory).
I switched over to a 1997 Honda Accord EX radio, that one needed a code. Luckily, I wrote it down on the inside of the visor when I used to drive it.

Re: Code for Honda Head Unit (Sijray21)
Thanks for all the replies. Just got it resolved by calling the dealerhsip over the phone. They were really cool and just gave me the code over the phone. He joked with me a bit asking how does he know it's really me, but said I sounded honest enough. Lucky for me because the dealership is in Virginia and I am in Texas. I can't believe there is a security system on this dinky Honda head unit. It actually serves as a THEFT DETERENT for me! haha.

The jackasses at the honda dealership in Tallahassee said they would have to charge me 60$ cause they had to pull the headunit out to get the serial number off the back. I was like "sure pal I am gonna give you 60$ to do that. " I had to sit in the parking lot and pull the whole dash apart to get that dam number. Too bad they weren't nice enough to just give it to me on the phone like I asked the first time.

Re: (electronb16si)
The serial number for your radio is on a small sticker in the glove box. You can give them that number and they will look it up for you. Glad you got it resolved. I had to do the same ****. I bought my car used and when I disconnected the battery, the code I had was actually wrong! The head unit had been replaced by the honda dealership.
