first off a b16a2 should be putting down 140-145 to the wheels bone stock

what mods have been done?

how many miles on the motor? have you done a compression check?

is vtec engaging? any cel?

need a bit more info before we can help you

Try doing a full tune up for starters. Also do a compression test. Does the motor seem to run well other than the strange lack of power?

Do a commprerssion check

my friends made 142 with im,header, intake, ciped and tuned p28. he has perfect compression across the board.

lots of things cause loss of power but you should start with compression, mechanical timing, then a\f ratio will give you a good idea of where to start to find your loss

Average? i would be worried if my b16 went that low, the lowest you ever want to see them is around 130psi, your in bad ring territory on that one.
My other frineds with over 200k still sits right around 180-90

i believe he meant 140hp, not compression psi.

since we're on the subject though. 135psi is the minimum, and 184 is nominal, with a max acceptable variation between cylinders of 28psi.

yea 140 wheel hp at that. of course its 160-170 at the crank usally if the compression is good you should see around 180-200 on b16 or b18c and we put some type r's in with new rings and we got 230 out of that of course they are 11.1:1 but these are just realitive. just start there and see what you come up with
