rest your hand on the pedal, it should move freely about 3/4" to 1" before it starts to build fluid pressure. if it is more than that it will not fully disengage the clutch and you will grind it putting it into gear if it goes in at all. to adjust it, there is a 12mm nut on the clutch linkage at the top of the pedal. loosen it and turn the rod till you have adequate pedal travel. but before you do all that, check it for leaks up by the firewall where the pedal is. look in your reservoir also to see if it is low.
