Default Civic gsr swap in "limp mode" (won't pass 3500 rpms) due to code 4?

I figured out why my gsr inset getting much power and it won't pass 3500 rpms. I was told it's in limp mode and I'm trying to figure out why, I'm running the pct jdm obd2b civic type r ecu and it doesn't look for the ckf sensor, which is currently not wired up properly. Could the ckf sensor be why it's in limp mode?

It's actually called ckp sensor, not ckf sensor. This is the crank position sensor and I just checked my CEL and it gave me a code 4, which is ckp. I think this is why it's in limp mode and I'll check it out tomorrow

what distributor are you using? code 4 is in the distributor not by the crank pulley:

99 civic si
-ex vtec harness (obd2b)
-obd2a dizzy gsr
-I cut the plug of the small obd2b at the engine harness and wired it to the obd2a plug of the engine harness.
- there is one wire left over and it's a blue wire

Double check the quality of your wire splicing job and whether you properly matched the wires.

The ckp sensor is a 2 plug wire on the harness and a three plug wire on the gsr pulley. I cut the wire of the harness and put together the 3plug and there is an extra black wire. Do I need to ground it? Or just leave it?

Got it running good, had 2 blue wires and mixed them up. What do I do with the left over blue wire?
